Dear Members and Supporters,
Are we finished with 2020 yet? The countdown is already in progress, right?
We are reflecting on the first ever live streaming of a peaceful demonstration by WAR as well as independent advocate Derek Logue of Once Fallen, Advocates for Change, Coalition for Sexual Offense Restoration, SOSEN and others who learned of the event and wanted to be a part in some way whether it was bringing us food from Starbucks or to observe to see what a WAR peaceful demonstration looked like. It was an awesome experience and we will do it again soon.
To our amazement we received a request to do a Zoom interview with an anchor from a Youngstown Ohio station after we had let him know of our organization and purpose. The interview was to be regarding the Halloween issues for citizens required to register. Most of the material planned to discuss went right out the window as the anchor was astonished that a group of women could in any way be against the registry which leads us to wonder is there another way to be more bold about the name of the organization.
